We love Arts & Sciences in the Shire of Mountain Edge! Almost everyone in the Shire takes part in some A&S activity or other. Projects range from making armor, dancing, sewing garb for people (or horses), embroidery, making jewelry or bread, and more.
Do you have knowledge or a skill you wish to share with others? Is there something new you would like to learn? We welcome your participation!
Shire A&S Nights
We are meeting on a monthly basis to work on projects and exchange information. A number of us have been practicing illumination and painting charters. Here is an example of some of the projects our members have been working on.
- Painting Charters (Awards to be given to people.)
- Weaving trim on a loom.
- Making dresses, tunics, and hoods.
- Researching medieval names and heraldry.
- Padding armor.
- Making jewelry.
It is an opportunity to join others working on similar projects, a chance to share your knowledge with those seeking it, or even a place where you can ask advice when you are stumped on your current endeavor. If you are unable to meet in person, you can ask your question on the Mountain Edge Discussion group on Facebook.
